Georgia gives CDL skills tests at 10 DDS Customer Service Center (CSC) test sites and 17 technical-college third-party testing sites on the DDS list. All road tests are by appointment.
Who gives the test in Georgia
DDS tests at designated Customer Service Centers (CSC #37 Cumming tests Class B and C only). Technical colleges on the DDS list also give CDL skills tests as third-party testers; contact the college to arrange a test.

How to schedule the skills test
- CDL road tests are by appointment only. Book through DDS; all ten DDS CDL sites share the scheduling number (678) 413-8400. (dds.georgia.gov)
- Hold your CLP for at least 14 days before the road test, and arrive about 20 minutes early. (dds.georgia.gov)
- Your test vehicle must pass a DDS safety inspection before the test starts. (dds.georgia.gov)
- Cancel at least 72 hours ahead or the $50 road test fee is forfeited. (dds.georgia.gov)

What to bring
- Your CLP, plus the vehicle registration (paper copy), proof of insurance card and medical certificate. (dds.georgia.gov)

- A vehicle of the class you are testing for that can pass the DDS safety inspection. (dds.georgia.gov)
Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT)
- ELDT applies to first-time Class A or B applicants, upgrades from B to A, and first-time passenger (P), school bus (S) or hazmat (H) endorsements. Your provider must be on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. (dds.georgia.gov)
- It does not apply if you held a CDL or the P, S or H endorsement before February 7, 2022. Some 49 CFR Part 383 skills-test exceptions also exempt you. (fmcsa.dot.gov)

Tips
- CSC #37 Cumming tests Class B and C only; the other nine DDS sites test all classes.
- The $50 road test fee is per attempt, and you lose it if you cancel with less than 72 hours notice.
- Technical colleges on the list test students and the public at their discretion; call the college first.
